Issue 01: The Art of the Edit
The Fletcher Edit (n.) — The intentional act of revising, refining, and curating a space. Luxury is found in restraint and detail, focusing not just on what we add to a room, but on what we choose to leave out.
WELCOME TO THE FLETCHER EDIT
Every space benefits from thoughtful editing.
Sometimes that means introducing something new. Other times it means removing what no longer serves the room. More often, it's finding the balance between the two.
Each month, I'll share current projects, design insights, inspiration, and a glimpse behind the scenes of the design process.
Thank you for being here.

Beyond The Beautiful
When most people think about interior design, they picture the finished room: the furniture, the artwork, the lighting, and the beautiful details that bring a space to life. While those elements are certainly important, they are only part of the story. Great design happens long before furniture arrives. Lighting plans are coordinated with electrical layouts. Paint colors are tested throughout the day. Wallpaper quantities are calculated. Furniture layouts are refined until a room functions as beautifully as it looks. The most successful interiors rarely happen by accident. They are the result of thoughtful planning, collaboration, and attention to details that often go unnoticed. For me, this process is one of the most rewarding parts of design. It's where creativity meets problem-solving and where a vision begins to take shape long before the first piece arrives. Beautiful rooms may capture our attention, but it is the work behind them that allows them to feel effortless.
THE EDIT: WHICH WOULD YOU CHOOSE?
Two beautiful Schumacher wallpaper selections. One powder room. Two completely different stories.
For this project, I explored two distinct design directions using Schumacher wallpaper, custom cabinetry, brass accents, and layered lighting. While both concepts achieve the same functional goals, each creates a very different mood and experience.
The darker selection feels rich, collected, and dramatic. The lighter option offers a softer, more whimsical approach.
Are you Team A or Team B?
I'd love to hear your thoughts. Simply reply to this email and tell me which design direction speaks to you most.
WANT TO TRANSFORM YOUR OWN SPACE?
Whether you have a clear vision or are just beginning to explore the possibilities, I'd love to help you create a home that feels thoughtful, collected, and uniquely yours. If you're considering a project, I'd be honored to be part of the journey.
